Molfetta

The Hall of the Knights Templar

Historic sites

The Sala dei Templari (The Hall of the Knights Templar) of Molfetta is a fascinating cultural site in the centre of the town, close to the Duomo. This hall, once part of a Templar complex, dates back to the 13th century and is one of the few surviving examples of Templar architecture in Puglia.

Its structure, with Gothic arches and ancient stonework, heightens the sense of mystery surrounding the stories of the Templars, offering a rare window into the town's medieval past.

Today, the Sala dei Templari  is used as an exhibition space for art shows, events and conferences, and stands as an important cultural hub for the local community. Its central location and historical charm make it an unmissable destination for anyone visiting Molfetta.
