Every summer, the streets of the historic centre come alive with an enogastronomic tour that pays tribute to this sweet excellence, with tastings, shows and historical reenactments. During the evening, local pastry chefs offer different interpretations of the sospiro, from savoury to sweet, alongside wine and typical Apulian products.

 Every year, the festival brings together illustrators, authors, voice actors and cosplayers in a lively and engaging atmosphere, offering a rich programme of activities and events. 

The festival hosts themed exhibitions, drawing and scriptwriting workshops, comic book presentations and signing sessions with nationally and internationally renowned artists. There is no shortage of cosplay contests, board game and trading card tournaments, as well as spaces dedicated to virtual reality and retro video games.

Bisceglie en Blanc is the event that, every summer, transforms Bisceglie's seafront into an evocative open-air lounge. 

More than just a moment of celebration and fun, where the all-white dress code — with low heels recommended for ladies — adds a touch of elegance to the event, Bisceglie en Blanc also promotes values of solidarity and sustainability, engaging local institutions, private sponsors and long-standing partners.

Past editions have always sold out, with more than 1,000 participants, confirming Bisceglie en Blanc as one of the most anticipated events of the Bisceglie summer, enhancing the charm of the seafront and creating a magical atmosphere that celebrates the joy of being together.

Every summer, the historic centre of Bisceglie comes alive with Libri nel Borgo Antico, a literary festival that transforms the town into a vibrant cultural stage.

Organised by the Associazione Borgo Antico, the event hosts authors, publishers and readers for a series of meetings, presentations and debates open to all. 

The evocative squares and characteristic alleys of the medieval old town provide the backdrop for book presentations, conversations with nationally and internationally renowned writers, and spaces dedicated to fiction, non-fiction and current affairs. There is no shortage of activities for children, creative workshops and meetings with emerging authors, making the festival a moment of participation and sharing for all ages.

Libri nel Borgo Antico is not just a cultural event, but an experience that combines the charm of literature with that of Bisceglie's history and traditions, transforming the town into a landmark of Apulian summer culture. 

Every year, Bisceglie hosts DigithON, Italy's largest digital marathon, offering startups and innovators the opportunity to present their projects to national and international investors.

The event takes place at the Vecchie Segherie Mastrototaro, transforming the town into a hub of innovation and technology. During the event, selected startups have the chance to showcase their ideas through pitches in front of an audience of investors, companies and institutions.

Besides the competition, DigithON offers training sessions and workshops, creating a stimulating environment for the development of the digital ecosystem. 

The event also brings Piazza Castello to life with concerts, entertainment and in-depth talks open to the public, featuring experts from the sector.

The event culminates in the awards ceremony for the best startups, which receive recognition and support to accelerate the growth of their projects.

DigithON is an unmissable event for anyone interested in innovation and the future of technology in Italy.

The Premio Nazionale Don Uva (National Award Don Uva) is a prestigious award established to celebrate individuals who distinguish themselves through their commitment to social causes, culture and the defence of human values.

Its first edition dates back to 2020; the award is dedicated to Don Pasquale Uva, founder of Opera Don Uva, known for his mission on behalf of "the least fortunate" and for the initiatives created to support them.

The ceremony for the Premio Nazionale Don Uva takes place inside the old Casa della Divina Provvidenza, facing the Basilica di San Giuseppe, in a deeply evocative atmosphere. 

It represents an occasion to recognise and celebrate those who, with courage and dedication, contribute to the common good, embodying the values of selflessness and service to others.

During the Christmas period, Bisceglie transforms into an enchanting festive setting thanks to Natale a Colori, a festival rich in events and initiatives that bring the town to life from December through to 6th January.

The heart of the celebrations is Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, home to the Magical Santa's Village, complete with Santa's Castle, a panoramic wheel, and cosy wooden chalets selling artisanal and local products.

In Piazza Regina Margherita, visitors can admire the Historical Carousel and the Nativity Grotto, set up by the Bisceglie Scout Group, offering an evocative and traditional atmosphere.

The programme offers a variety of events for all ages, from Christmas markets and concerts to exhibitions of handcrafted nativity scenes and theatrical performances: the Teatro Politeama Italia hosts Christmas concerts and family shows, while Via Aldo Moro comes alive with markets and Christmas-themed entertainment.

 Natale a Colori is a special occasion to experience the Christmas atmosphere in Bisceglie, combining tradition, culture and fun in an unforgettable experience for both locals and visitors. 

During the Christmas period, thanks to the festive event organised by the cultural association Borgo Antico, Bisceglie's historic center dresses in traditional colours and joy.

From the end of November to 26th December, every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holiday, the streets welcome families and guests with the richness of traditional lights, colours and Christmas songs. 

Piazza Duomo hosts the Grande Villaggio di Babbo Natale (Santa Claus Village), a charming place where children can meet elves and pixies, take part in creative workshops and hand their letters to Santa Claus in person.

Meanwhile, in Via Cardinale Dell'Olio, the Mercatino della Solidarietà takes place, organised thanks to the collaboration of various third-sector organisations in the city, offering the opportunity to buy Christmas presents while supporting charitable causes. 

The evenings are enlivened by Christmas carols, concerts and street performances, creating a trail of festive flavours throughout the old town.

Local restaurants delight guests with traditional Apulian Christmas dishes, offering an authentic culinary experience.

All activities are free of charge; however, participants are invited to donate basic necessities and non-perishable food at the collection point announced by Associazione Borgo Antico, in support of Caritas di Bisceglie.

Il Borgo del Natale represents a special occasion to experience the magic of the festive season, in the evocative setting of Bisceglie's historic centre, bringing together tradition, solidarity and entertainment for all ages. 

During the Christmas period, Bisceglie's historic centre transforms into an evocative 18th-century setting thanks to the Presepe Vivente del '700 Napoletano (Living Nativity Scene of 18th-Century Naples), organised by the association Schára OdV.

The event offers visitors an immersion into 18th-century Naples, with more than 150 performers bringing to life scenes of everyday life, ancient trades and symbolic figures of the era.

Visitors can meet traditional figures such as merchants and bagpipe players, as well as symbolic characters like Pulcinella and "il Biscegliese", also known as "Don Pancrazio Cucuziello", who indissolubly links Bisceglie to Naples.

Bisceglie's Living Nativity Scene is a unique opportunity to relive the magic of Christmas through a faithful historical reconstruction, celebrating local cultural and religious traditions.

The entrance to the reenactment is located in Piazza Tre Santi; admission is free, and booking is recommended. 

Holy Week in Bisceglie is a period of intense religious and cultural participation, characterised by rites and processions that deeply involve the local community.

Among the most significant celebrations, the Processione dell'Incontro (Procession of the Encounter) stands out, taking place on Good Friday in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, in the area known as Calvario. During this evocative ceremony, the statues of Christ carrying the cross and of the Madonna Addolorata (Our Lady of Sorrows) are carried in procession from opposite sides of the square, until they meet at its centre.

This symbolic moment represents the last meeting between Mother and Son before the crucifixion, evoking deep emotion among the faithful present.

Besides the Processione dell'Incontro, Bisceglie's Holy Week includes other events of great significance, such as the Processione dei Misteri, in which statues representing the different stations of the Via Crucis are carried in procession.

 These events are an expression of deep popular devotion and attract numerous visitors every year. 

Holy Week in Trani is a period of profound devotion and tradition, marked by rites and processions that engage the whole community.

One of the most evocative moments is the Processione Penitenziale della Madonna Addolorata, held during the night between Holy Thursday and Good Friday. At 3:00 am, the statue of the Sorrowful Virgin is carried out from the Church of Santa Teresa and taken through the streets of the historic center. The procession, wrapped in nocturnal silence, stops at several churches around the town, recalling the Mother's anguish as she searches for her Son. It comes to an end at dawn, when the statue returns to the church where it began.

On Good Friday evening, the Processione dei Misteri takes place: setting off from the Cathedral, the procession winds through the city's main streets, depicting the various stations of the Via Crucis with statues portraying the key moments of Christ's Passion. This procession draws the participation of numerous local confraternities and is distinguished by the presence of the Archbishop and the city's clergy.

Holy Week in Trani comes to a close with the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday, during which the faithful gather to celebrate the Resurrezione di Cristo (Resurrection of Christ), welcoming the light of the Risen Lord with hymns and prayers.

These celebrations represent a moment of deep spirituality and tradition for the community of Trani.
